Bella Pavita

Graduation year: 2019

Current Employment Position: Programmer Analyst at Hobby Lobby Corporate, Oklahoma City

Bella graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Texas A&M University where she majored in Computer Science and minored in Mathematics. Her undergraduate years were filled with numerous accomplishments such as being awarded various scholastic and leadership scholarships, being nominated as an Intern of the Year by Hobby Lobby, and being granted $3500 as an Undergraduate Researcher. Her main fields of study were Blockchain and Decentralized Applications. These were exhibited in her capstone project, “Decentralized Voting Application” and her published research with Dr. Subburaj, “Using Formal Language to Elicit Requirements for Healthcare Blockchain”. On 2019, she presented her research at the Future Technologies Conference in San Francisco. Before graduating, she accepted Hobby Lobby’s offer and is now working as one of the main Programmer Analysts for their E-Commerce team.

Aisawan Bosarakham

Graduation year: May 2018

Current Employment Position: IBM – Microservices Developer

Aisawan Bosarakham (Aisa) is working as a microservices developer, focusing on Cloud Platforms as well as other Cloud Technologies. Her main responsibilities are to design, develop functionality, build, test and deploy applications onto the cloud. Within the team, she is a developer who works with scrum teams to ensure that high quality products are delivered in a timely manner. Aisa and teams also produces applications by leveraging cloud technologies as well as other tools. In her entry-level career as a professional, she has applied various bits of knowledge, which was acquired from her Computer Science program, in particular, the Software Development Lifecycle in conjunction with coding ability. With hard work and proper training, she achieved receiving a promotion within her first year at IBM.

Vance Morris

Graduation Year: 2011

Current Employment Position: Staff Software Developer-IBM

From an early age Vance was entranced by computers and curiously would disassemble and reassemble his family's i386 PC, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. After high school he worked at ARNet and had an on-again, off-again relationship with university life. After a few false starts at higher education, Vance enlisted in the Army in 2005. He married Jo Sul Mi while deployed to South Korea and after finishing his active-duty obligation, he returned to Amarillo in 2009 with new determination to complete an undergraduate program in the then-new Computer Science program at West Texas A&M University. The same semester he enrolled, Vance was reactivated and deployed to Iraq for one year. While deployed, he completed a few courses through correspondence and then after returning to Canyon, he re-engaged with the CS program full-time. He worked in the WTAMU telcom office while a student, and sat as president and vice-president of the student chapter of the Association of Computer Machinery. He placed 3rd in the IBM Master the Mainframe contest in 2011 and after graduating, he joined IBM as a software engineer. Vance is currently employed by IBM and lives and works in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He remains enthralled by computers, and loves his work very much. He attributes the in-depth knowledge and adept critical thinking skills that he applies every day to his work to the time he spent studying Computer Science at WTAMU.
